The realization of iterative learning control based beam loading compensation methods for J-PARC Linac high β section

According to the upgrade plan of J-PARC, the beam current and beam pulse length of j-parc linac need increase 20% in the near future. Due to low Q value of cavity and heavy beam loading, the waveform stability of Annular Coupled Structure (ACS) station is very bad and current feedforward method can not meet the requirement. Iterative learning control (ILC) as an adaptive feedforward is a powerful control tool to improve the transient response of system, and it was successfully used in SDTL01 station which belongs to the low-βsection of J-PARC linac. In order to ensure the effectiveness of ILC in high-βsection, an ILC-based beam loading compensation experiment was conduct in ACS station. In this paper, the experiment result will be published, and the new control scheme will be introduced.
