A compact terahertz radiation source is under developing at Institute of Advanced Energy Kyoto University. The electron bunches are generated by 1.6 cells photocathode RF-gun which provides the beam energy of 4.6 MeV and the rms bunch length of 7.6 ps. The bunches are compressed longitudinally by a magnetic chicane bunch compressor. The compressed electron bunches pass through a short planar undulator where the terahertz radiation will be generated via coherent synchrotron radiation. The electron beam and terahertz radiation characterization will be present in this contribution.
