Spatial beam quality measurement of KU-FEL

Spatial quality of a laser beam is very important, since it determines how much the beam can be focused. Clearly it is very preferable to have a beam with high spatial quality to use an FEL for nonlinear optics which is actually our main playground. We have carried out the knife-edge measuremet of KU-FEL at 11 micron. For comparison we have also taken burn-patterns on acryl plates.
